Bougainvilleas are the flowers of the inner child who marvels at the world with wide eyes. 

Whenever something new happens, many are inclined to give in to the learned impulse of defensiveness. When something goes wrong, many get angry, try to blame someone, or solidify the belief that they are completely incapable after all.

White Bougainvillea, on the other hand, lets you pause, take in the moment, think neither of the past nor the future, but simply see what is - and possibly even marvel at it. This takes away the need to switch into emergency mode (read: stress reaction).

This blossom makes you feel safe and protected, brings you inwardly to a place from where you can cast an unpredictable and undisguised look at what is. Neither mentally blowing things up into a catastrophe, nor denying them, nor inventing excuses, or whatever might spontaneously occur to you. It is like it is. And I have the heart, the strength and the inspiration to deal with it. Even if I sometimes doubt that, or doubt myself. Especially then. Doubt can become an indication of this flower.
