Coyote
Unite wisdom and nonsense.
The coyote is a rogue, trickster, and thief. It deceives and laughs, is clever and cunning, funny and spontaneous. It always represents both sides of the coin, it’s fun and it’s annoying. It plays and steals. It is superficial and looks deep. The paradox is second nature.
Dealing with its energy can be as healing as it is painful. It holds up the mirror to you, and what you see in it may not always be pleasant.
The coyote is a real pain in the ass with all sorts of special properties.
The appearance of the coyote in the real or dream world can indicate that one is being betrayed. Or the other way around, you are about to cheat someone, or at least benefit from their misery. It can also indicate danger. If the coyote howls, it should tell us that others are dissatisfied with us.
Coyote energy can open your eyes. You learn to recognize when you are being taken advantage of. On the other hand, it is also easy to recognize well-meaning people and make friends with them.
As a totem, the coyote makes you adaptable, stress-resistant and awakens the child in you and with it happiness and playfulness. It is a good friend and loyal companion, even if it occasionally makes a fool of you. Then again it invites you to laugh and teaches self-irony. You never know what to expect, unpredictability is ist middle name.
As a spiritual guide, it shows that deceiving and cheating can also serve a good cause. It knows about karma. Those who are at peace with their inner coyote never intentionally hurt another. It is just kidding them a little. And shows them what life can be like if you don’t take it too seriously.
