Compassion
The ideal complement to the „three poisons“ (see Mental Detoxification). Three essences namely, which help to become yourself your best friend. Have you ever caught yourself insulting yourself because you have acted awkwardly or carelessly, made a wrong decision, hurt someone, or just hit your thumb? One does not get something as desired, and the inner judge is ready to take his merciless judgment. Feelings of shame, pain and guilt arise. Remarks come to mind that one would never use when speaking with a friend, only with oneself.
Compassion aims to revive the old friendship to oneself, to teach, to become one’s own best friend (again). A friend who call call us in the middle of the night, when he or she feels miserable and needs our ear or shoulder. You do not ask much, you are there when you are needed. Instead of bringing on the heavy artillery of reproaches, blame and humiliation.
Unconditional friendship with oneself is one of the goals of Tibetan meditation. While often unconditionally love is pushed into the foreground, this kind of human relationships seems just as important and this is the essence that helps to evoke it.
It consists of Pine, Poppy and Self-Heal. Compassion is there to help us to become compassionate with ourselves. And to reconcile us with our own pain in meditation.
